Madhuri Dixit Reveals Sons' Career Choices: No Bollywood for Arin & Ryan
Madhuri Dixit's sons choose tech, music over Bollywood

As her new web series 'Mrs. Deshpande' makes its debut, legendary Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit has offered a rare glimpse into her family life, specifically addressing the career aspirations of her two sons. In a candid revelation, Dixit confirmed that neither of her boys is interested in following in her famed footsteps into the Indian film industry.

Arin's Path: From Film Inklings to Music and Tech at Apple

Discussing her elder son, Arin, who was born in 2003, Madhuri Dixit shared that he once entertained thoughts about the movie world. "The older guy had some inklings of maybe wanting to be in movies, but I think his passion is music," she stated in an interview with Mid-day. However, that initial curiosity quickly found a different outlet.

Arin successfully merged his creative and academic pursuits. He studied Computer Science Engineering as his major while minoring in music during his school years. According to his mother, he has now graduated and is employed at the tech giant Apple. "He produces his own music," Madhuri said, adding that his work at Apple involves projects related to advanced noise cancellation technology.

Ryan's World: A Firm Focus on STEM at USC

The actor's younger son, Ryan, born in 2005, has an even clearer disinterest in the cinematic field. Madhuri Dixit described him as a dedicated "STEM guy" who is deeply engrossed in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. He is currently pursuing his higher education at the University of Southern California (USC).

"The younger one is not interested in this whole circus," Dixit remarked, using the term to describe the constant public attention that surrounds the film industry. She emphasized that Ryan is fully committed to his technological and engineering interests, far removed from the Bollywood spotlight.

Parental Approach: Respecting Their Choices, Not Keeping Them Away

When questioned if she deliberately shielded her children from the influences of Bollywood, Madhuri Dixit was quick to clarify her stance. She asserted that the decision to stay away from films was entirely her sons' own. "I didn't really keep them away. I have taken them when they wanted to come with me, and if they didn't, I respected that," she explained.

She further elaborated on their perspectives, noting that while her younger son sees the industry as a 'circus' he wants no part of, her elder son is more outgoing but still not drawn to a career within it. Both have charted independent paths based on their genuine passions.

While Madhuri Dixit continues to captivate audiences on both the big screen and OTT platforms, her sons are building their futures in distinctly different arenas. Arin combines his love for music with a cutting-edge tech career at Apple, and Ryan is immersed in the academic world of STEM at a prestigious American university. Their choices highlight a growing trend where the children of film icons are seeking fulfillment and identity beyond the immense shadow of their parents' stardom.
