In a social media post, the South Korean star revealed the increasing number of online advertisements using her face without consent. She cautioned her fans and the public to steer clear of such deceptive content.

Lee Ji Hye Addresses Fraudulent Ads

In her recent post, Lee Ji Hye shared alarming details about scammers running advertisements featuring her image. She explained that she had encountered multiple posts where AI technology was used to superimpose her face onto other individuals to promote products she never endorsed.

Her message read: “I’ve been receiving a lot of direct messages about them recently.” She emphasized that none of these supposed endorsements were legitimate and attached several screenshots to keep everyone informed. She also urged people who come across such content to report it and avoid falling for the circulating scam.

She further stated: “Please do not click the links or purchase anything through them. Be careful. They’re written in Korean, but if you look closely, something feels off. I honestly don’t know who made these, but they’re really awful.” The ads cover a wide range of products, from sweet potatoes to inner garments.

Over the past few months, many individuals have reported that photos of celebrities and public figures are being used illegally through AI technology without permission. Fans and netizens have actively debated this issue, noting that AI has become a significant problem in the K-pop world.
