Jasmin Bhasin has revealed that she is at a stage in her career where she wants to push herself beyond familiar spaces and explore newer opportunities as an actor. After spending years in the television industry, the actress has consciously taken a step back to experiment with OTT platforms and films, while still staying connected to reality television through Khatron Ke Khiladi.
A Conscious Break from Television
Reflecting on her journey, Jasmin says, "I did television for five to six years back-to-back and had a beautiful run. Even in television, I was always doing different kinds of shows because I like experimenting. I took a genuine break so I could explore more as an actor." She adds that when the offer for Khatron Ke Khiladi came, she couldn't resist. "When Khatron Ke Khiladi came to me, I was like, this is something else, and I can never say no to it. I had such amazing memories when I did my first season, and the person I came back as was more confident and stronger. I’m sensitive, and for me, it’s really difficult to deal with fears. But I want to fight it out this time."
Emotional Nature: Advantage or Disadvantage?
Over the years, Jasmin has often been perceived as someone who is very emotional. When asked whether this trait is an advantage or a disadvantage in the industry, she responds, "According to me, it’s an advantage. As humans, we should try to be kind and helpful. Being emotional and expressive keeps life simple for me. I don’t have hidden emotions or agendas, so I’m a simple person." She believes that this quality also strengthens her work as an actor. "As an actor, it also helps me because, as an actor, you’re emoting. If you cannot feel those emotions, how are you going to convince others? So I think it’s an advantage for me."
Jasmin's candid remarks highlight her commitment to growth and authenticity, both on and off screen. Her willingness to step out of her comfort zone and embrace challenges like Khatron Ke Khiladi underscores her determination to evolve as a performer.
