Veteran actor James Handy's tragic death has sparked numerous questions about the circumstances surrounding his fatal stabbing. In a recent interview, his girlfriend, Wendy Gledhill, has bravely spoken out, revealing intimate details about his final moments.
Wendy Gledhill Recalls James Handy's Last Morning
Speaking with The Daily Mail, Gledhill described the morning of June 3 when Handy, known for his roles in 'Top Gun' and 'NYPD Blue', went to retrieve the newspaper from his front lawn. 'James had gotten up to get the newspaper at about 9 o'clock, but he didn't make the coffee like he usually does,' she said. 'I just heard the door open because he was getting the paper.'
Gledhill's son, Michael, 44, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. She speculated, 'I can only assume my son was already out there and they started to argue, from my understanding, on the front yard.' She disclosed that Michael had been diagnosed with schizophrenia but had stopped taking his medication days before the incident. 'The first time I heard something was happening was when the police showed up. They said someone had called 911 and they told me someone was wrapped in a blanket outside the house,' she added.
Ongoing Grief and Shock
In a separate interview with California Post, Gledhill expressed her ongoing struggle to cope with the tragedy. 'I'm just trying to make it through one day at a time, a minute at a time. I loved James and my son. I still can't believe it,' she said.
