DJ Krispie Kristina Alleges Police Misconduct in Goa
Celebrity DJ Krispie Kristina has made serious allegations of power abuse and racial discrimination against Goa Police officials, claiming officers misbehaved with her and her friends during a routine vehicle check. The incident occurred late at night while the group was traveling from Siolim to Morjim in North Goa, raising concerns about tourist safety in the popular coastal state.
The Disturbing Incident Details
In a detailed Instagram post, Kristina described how police officers stopped their car and immediately displayed aggressive behavior. From the very beginning, the officer was extremely rude and it was apparent this wasn't his first time acting this way, she stated. The DJ alleged the officer was already choking on his power and impunity when he approached their vehicle.
The situation escalated when the police officer reportedly told them to go to your country, you're not in your country, despite them being legitimate tourists. After showing their driver's license and being permitted to leave, Kristina claims the officer called her friend a bitch and shouted fuck off as they drove away.
Kristina expressed shock at the incident, particularly given Goa's status as a tourist-dependent state. Can you imagine? In a tourist state that functions only thanks to tourists, the police allow themselves to be so lawless, she questioned in her social media post.
Multiple Safety Concerns Raised
The DJ highlighted several procedural violations during the incident, noting that the police officers conducting the midnight check did not have a female officer present. She also mentioned her fear prevented her from recording the incident, stating she was afraid to even take out my phone because he was so aggressive.
In a follow-up video, Kristina expressed her diminished sense of security, stating This is how Goa treats tourists. As a tourist, I don't feel myself safe here at all. The emotional impact was evident as she described the experience as very very very sad for someone visiting the state.
Official Response and Broader Context
According to Indian Express reports, Goa Police have contacted the complainant and initiated a formal probe into the allegations. By Saturday afternoon, Kristina confirmed she was on her way to a police station after authorities reached out to her.
This incident occurs amidst other recent tourist safety concerns in Goa. Earlier this month, a group of men harassed and groped two foreign women while taking photographs at Arambol beach. In a separate Vagator incident, bouncers at a local establishment allegedly intervened inappropriately with a visiting family from Varanasi.
The state tourism department has clarified that bouncers are not authorized to handle tourist-related matters and warned that any form of assault, intimidation, or misconduct will invite strict action. In response to these events, the department held a meeting with Goa Police to discuss measures for improving visitor safety and experience.
As the investigation proceeds, this case highlights ongoing challenges in balancing law enforcement with tourist hospitality in one of India's most popular vacation destinations.
