The father had reportedly objected to her wearing jeans and tops and was also opposed to sending her abroad. According to police, the girl allegedly fired at her father in an emotional outburst, injuring him in the back and shoulder. The incident took place on May 14 morning in Khalchian.

Unconfirmed Reports and Family Denial

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Snehdeep, who recently cleared her Class 12 exams, wanted to go to Australia, while her father was allegedly opposed to the idea, leading to tension at home. However, the family has denied these claims.

The accused was produced before the court of the SDM, Baba Bakala, which remanded her to 14-day judicial custody. Further investigation is underway.
