Ahmedabad Singer Himadhri Brahmbhatt Debuts with Tribute Song

Ahmedabad-based indie singer Himadhri Brahmbhatt has released her debut single 'Tujhe Rok Loon', featuring Esha Kansara. The song, a contemporary indie pop track, holds deep personal significance for the artist.

Personal Inspiration Behind the Song

Brahmbhatt shared the emotional story behind her debut. 'I wrote this song during COVID after my grandfather passed away. I didn't even realize when I wrote it. I was sitting with my harmonium, and it just happened. I have written other songs, but I wanted to debut with this one,' she explained.

She added, 'For me, this is not just a song, but my feelings expressed. It's a tribute to my grandfather; my songwriting journey started after his passing. I wanted to celebrate his life rather than mourn. He always brought home the season's first mangoes in summer, and another core memory is of him taking us for rides after work.'

Social Media's Role in Her Career

Brahmbhatt emphasized the importance of social media for emerging artists. 'If you have a good social media following, it becomes easier to collaborate with big artists. I have been offered corporate and college gigs via social media. However, I also want to release as many songs as possible,' she said.

She does not feel pressured about posting. 'I post videos of songs I am listening to on loop, and I want others to listen. I don't have a strategy; I just post what I love, and people who love it will join me. Everyone wants to collaborate with Bollywood composers, and I do too, but I also want to work with indie artists like Vaibhav Pani, Sanjith Hegde, Gini, Shreya Jain, and Garvit-Priyansh,' she added.

Views on AI in Music

Regarding artificial intelligence, Brahmbhatt stated, 'I haven't used AI in my music yet, but I think it is a good thing. AI is new now, but we will start depending on it, so it's better to learn to use it wisely. AI can help develop soundscape demos to show other artists what I need.'

She believes AI will not impact the music industry significantly. 'No matter how many songs AI creates, it cannot add soul and feelings. If songs lack soul, the audience won't connect. All hit songs have emotions that AI can never recreate,' she concluded.
