Vijay's 'Jana Nayagan' Faces Rs 70 Crore Loss After Leak

Expectations were high for Vijay's upcoming film 'Jana Nayagan', but the movie has encountered several issues, from its release date to its OTT deal. The much-anticipated film has reportedly suffered a major financial setback, incurring losses of nearly Rs 70 crore following its leak.

OTT Deal for 'Jana Nayagan' Falls Through

Before the leak, the film had secured a lucrative digital deal. According to reports from Track Tollywood, Prime Video had acquired the OTT rights for Rs 120 crore. However, after the leak surfaced, the platform reportedly terminated the agreement, impacting the film's revenue recovery. The cancellation was not solely due to the leak; delays in release linked to pending censor clearance also contributed to the move.

New OTT Offer Sees Sharp Drop

Reports indicate that KVN Productions approached another digital platform to secure a new agreement, but the offer received was significantly lower. The new OTT platform reportedly quoted Rs 50 crore for the film, marking a steep drop from the earlier Rs 120 crore deal.
