Tere Ishk Mein Box Office: Dhanush-Kriti Film Hits Rs 60 Cr, Beats Raanjhanaa
Tere Ishk Mein Box Office Day 4: Crosses Rs 60 Crore

The romantic drama Tere Ishk Mein, directed by Aanand L Rai and featuring the star power of Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, has crossed a significant milestone at the domestic box office. By its fourth day, which was Monday, December 2, 2025, the film's total collection has surged past the Rs 60 crore mark in India, achieving this feat faster than some of its creators' previous acclaimed works.

Monday Blues: A Significant Drop in Collections

After a robust opening weekend where the film consistently earned over Rs 15 crore daily, Tere Ishk Mein experienced the expected weekday slump. On its first Monday, the film's earnings saw a steep decline, collecting approximately Rs 8.25 crore. This represents a drop of more than 50% from its Sunday haul of Rs 19 crore, which was the film's highest single-day collection so far.

The film's performance over the weekend showed steady growth: it opened with Rs 16 crore on day one, slightly increased to Rs 17 crore on Saturday, and peaked on Sunday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the cumulative four-day India net collection now stands at an impressive Rs 60.25 crore.

Outperforming Predecessors and Competition

This four-day total has allowed Tere Ishk Mein to achieve a notable box office victory. It has now officially surpassed the lifetime domestic collection of Raanjhanaa, the 2013 spiritual predecessor from the same director-actor duo of Aanand L Rai and Dhanush. Raanjhanaa, starring Sonam Kapoor, concluded its eight-week theatrical run with Rs 60.22 crore.

The film's success extends beyond this single comparison. It has also outperformed other related projects:

  • It earned more than Rai's last directorial, Raksha Bandhan (2022) with Akshay Kumar, which collected Rs 48.63 crore.
  • It edged past Dhanush's latest Tamil directorial, Idli Kadai, which made Rs 50.48 crore across Tamil and Telugu.

However, the film is yet to catch up with Kriti Sanon's last major theatrical release. The 2023 heist comedy Crew, starring Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kriti, earned a lifetime total of Rs 81.70 crore, setting a higher benchmark for the actress.

Language Breakdown and Market Dominance

A detailed look at the collections reveals that the film's primary strength lies in its original Hindi version. Of the total Rs 60.25 crore, the Hindi version has contributed a dominant Rs 58 crore. Surprisingly, the Tamil dubbed version, despite featuring native superstar Dhanush and music by the legendary AR Rahman, has managed only about Rs 2.25 crore in the same period.

Tere Ishk Mein has thoroughly dominated its direct box office competitor, the romantic drama Gustaakh Ishq starring Vijay Varma and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Vibhu Puri's film has struggled, managing a mere Rs 1.36 crore in four days, highlighting the clear audience preference for the Rai-directed spectacle.

The film reunites the successful trio of director Aanand L Rai, actor Dhanush, and composer AR Rahman after Raanjhanaa and the OTT release Atrangi Re. The story is penned by Himanshu Sharma, and the film is produced by Rai's Colour Yellow Productions. The team now has a clear window for the next three days to add to its total before facing major competition from Aditya Dhar's action film Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, which releases this Friday.
