Telangana Government Approves Ticket Price Hike for 'Peddi'

Just hours before its release, the highly anticipated sports action drama 'Peddi', starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, has received a major boost. The Telangana government has officially approved a temporary increase in ticket prices, bringing the state in line with Andhra Pradesh.

Special Premiere Shows Get Approval

According to the government order, theatres across Telangana can charge higher ticket rates for a limited period. Single-screen theatres have been permitted to increase ticket prices by Rs 100. Multiplexes have been allowed to charge an additional Rs 125, inclusive of GST. The revised pricing structure will remain in effect for ten days from the date of the film's release.

The approval is expected to help theatres and distributors maximize revenue during the crucial opening days of the film's run. Apart from the ticket price revision, the government has also allowed special premiere shows for 'Peddi'. Tickets for these premiere screenings can be priced at Rs 600. The special shows are scheduled to take place on June 3, a day before the film's official release.
