Taylor Swift Gets Toy Story VHS Signed by Hanks and Allen

Taylor Swift made headlines at the premiere of the upcoming animated film 'Toy Story 5' not only for her contribution to the soundtrack but also for her fangirl moment with the film's lead actors. The singer attended the Los Angeles premiere on June 9 wearing an off-the-shoulder floral minidress, with her signature long waves cascading down. However, it was her accessory that stole the show: a rare VHS copy of the original 1995 'Toy Story' movie, which she had signed by Tom Hanks and Tim Allen.

Meeting the Stars

According to a report by PEOPLE, Swift brought the VHS tape to the event and managed to get autographs from both Hanks and Allen. In an interview with USA Today, Hanks shared details about their encounter. He revealed that while he did not take a selfie with the singer, he was happy to sign her tape. Hanks joked, "I told her she should have brought in the VHS machine so that we could have signed it as that could go into the Smithsonian Institute as well."

Swift's Song for the Film

Weeks prior, it was confirmed that Swift had created an original song titled 'I Knew It, I Knew You' for the final installment of the animated franchise. The song, written by Jack Antonoff and performed by Swift, marks a historic moment for the singer. VFX artist Thomas Jordan, who worked on the film, shared with Variety that the collaboration was kept highly secretive. He explained that Swift saw an early version of the film and requested to view it before completion. She then wrote the song and offered it to the team, who eagerly accepted. Jordan noted that Swift is a huge fan of the franchise, making the collaboration even more special.
