Tu Meri Main Tera Earns Just Rs 25 Lakh on Day 13, Total Stalls at Rs 32.5 Cr
Kartik Aaryan's Film Earns Rs 25 Lakh on Day 13

The much-anticipated reunion of Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday in the romantic comedy 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' has turned into a major box office disappointment. Directed by Sameer Vidwans and backed by producer Karan Johar, the film has seen a steep decline in earnings since its release on December 25, 2025.

Steep Decline in Second Week Collections

According to the latest figures from industry tracker Sacnilk, the film managed to scrape together only Rs 25 lakh on its thirteenth day, which was its second Tuesday in theaters. This dismal performance has brought the film's total domestic net collection to approximately Rs 32.5 crore. The movie, which also features veteran actors Jackie Shroff, Neena Gupta, and Tiku Talsania in key roles, has been on a consistent downward trend from its second day onwards, failing to capitalize on the Christmas holiday release window.

How Competing Films Are Faring

The box office landscape shows a clear hierarchy among recent releases. On one hand, 'Tu Meri Main Tera' is struggling to cross the finish line. On the other, another new release, 'Ikkis', starring Agastya Nanda (grandson of Amitabh Bachchan), is also facing challenges. 'Ikkis' collected Rs 1.5 crore on its sixth day, taking its total to Rs 23 crore, indicating a similar struggle to attract audiences.

In stark contrast, the Aditya Dhar-directed espionage thriller 'Dhurandhar' continues its phenomenal run with minimal competition. Now in its fifth week, the film added Rs 4.75 crore on its 33rd day, pushing its monumental India net total to a staggering Rs 781.75 crore. This colossal figure underscores the massive gap between a blockbuster and the underperforming new releases.

What Went Wrong for the Rom-Com?

Despite the star power of Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday and the backing of a major production house like Dharma Productions, the film failed to connect with viewers. The poor word-of-mouth and lack of audience enthusiasm post the opening day have been cited as primary reasons for the rapid drop in collections. The film's earnings in lakhs during its second week signal a swift exit from most theaters, a fate that stands in sharp relief against the sustained success of 'Dhurandhar'.

The performance of 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of the box office, where big names and festive releases are no guarantee of success. The focus now shifts to whether the film can muster any stability in the coming days or if it will fade away completely.
