Dhurandhar's Box Office Reign: Rakesh Bedi Calls It 'Once-in-a-Lifetime' Success
Dhurandhar's Success is Once-in-a-Lifetime: Rakesh Bedi

The Bollywood film 'Dhurandhar' is scripting a remarkable success story, continuing to rule the box office even a full month after its theatrical release. The movie, which weaves a gripping narrative inspired by real-life traffic incidents, is being celebrated for its stellar performances and the director's clear vision. Every character and actor associated with the project is receiving immense love from audiences across the country.

Rakesh Bedi Sets the Record Straight on Akshaye Khanna

In the wake of the film's triumph, a section of fans and critics have hailed it as a powerful comeback vehicle for the talented actor Akshaye Khanna. However, veteran actor Rakesh Bedi, who played Jameel Jamali in 'Dhurandhar', has a different perspective. In a candid conversation with Hindustan Times, Bedi firmly dismissed the notion of a comeback, asserting that Khanna never actually left the industry.

He emphasised that Akshaye's films have consistently been releasing; their box office performance varied, but his presence was constant. "Akshaye was always in the game. He never left it. Uski and humari films lagti rehti hai, koi kam chalti hai, koi zyada chalti hai, but it doesn't mean he was out of the industry," Bedi shared, clarifying the actor's enduring career trajectory.

A Phenomenon Comparable to 'Baahubali'

Rakesh Bedi did not hold back in praising the scale of 'Dhurandhar's' achievement, describing it as a rare phenomenon. He drew a parallel to the monumental success of S.S. Rajamouli's 'Baahubali', suggesting that such massive waves cannot be engineered or easily replicated.

"Ye once in a lifetime hai success hai. Abhi aap dekhiye, jaise Baahubali thi. Bohot koshish ki lekin Prabhas ke liye to same dubara repeat nahi hua," Bedi stated. He added that every actor and director patiently waits for this kind of defining wave in their career, and many never get to experience it.

Success Beyond Labels and Categories

Further elaborating on the unique nature of 'Dhurandhar's' triumph, Rakesh Bedi cited the example of the iconic Hollywood classic, 'The Godfather'. He pointed out that certain successes transcend conventional labels and cannot be neatly categorised. The organic connection the film has forged with the audience and its sustained performance are what make it special.

The film's potent mix of a relatable, hard-hitting story and powerful performances has clearly struck a chord. As 'Dhurandhar' continues its successful run, the industry is taking note of its impact, with Bedi's comments highlighting just how extraordinary this cinematic journey has been for everyone involved.
