Dhurandhar Box Office Storm: Rs 762 Cr in 31 Days, Eyes Pushpa 2 Record
Dhurandhar Hits Rs 762 Cr, Dominates Box Office for a Month

The year 2025 has found its undisputed box office king. The multi-starrer action spectacle 'Dhurandhar' has not only emerged as the biggest cinematic hit of the year but is also on a record-shattering spree that shows no signs of slowing down. Having completed a triumphant month in theatres, the film continues to command audiences, effortlessly dominating over fresh releases.

A Month of Unstoppable Dominance

Starring a powerhouse ensemble including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Sara Arjun, 'Dhurandhar' has demonstrated phenomenal staying power. Industry trackers suggest its victorious run at the ticket windows is likely to continue until the much-anticipated release of 'Border 2'. This dominance comes despite the arrival of other films.

The Christmas release of Ananya Panday and Kartik Aaryan's romcom 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' on December 25 failed to make a significant dent, turning out to be an average performer. Following that, last week saw the release of Sriram Raghavan's 'Ikkis' starring Agastya Nanda. While 'Ikkis' has managed to show steady growth, benefiting from positive word-of-mouth and the emotional draw of it being veteran actor Dharmendra's last onscreen appearance, it still operates in the long shadow cast by the 'Dhurandhar' juggernaut.

The Record-Breaking Numbers

The financial figures tell a story of unprecedented success. After a colossal fourth week that ended with a collection of Rs 106.5 crore, 'Dhurandhar' entered its fifth weekend with immense momentum. The film collected Rs 8.75 crore on its fifth Friday. Day 30, which was the fifth Saturday, saw an impressive jump to Rs 11.75 crore. As of afternoon shows on its fifth Sunday (day 31), early estimates peg the collection at Rs 3.02 crore.

This relentless performance has propelled the film's total domestic net collection to a staggering Rs 762.52 crore. The film is now inching closer to the monumental record set by Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', which remains the only other film to have achieved a similar feat, with a domestic net of Rs 1234.1 crore (Rs 812.14 crore from the Hindi market alone).

How Other Releases Fared

In contrast, the competing releases have posted modest numbers. 'Tu Meri Main Tera...' began its second Sunday on a dull note, collecting only around Rs 14 lakhs in the same timeframe, taking its total to Rs 31.44 crore. Agastya Nanda's 'Ikkis', on its fourth day (Sunday), has garnered approximately Rs 82 lakhs so far. Its total collection after the first three days stands at Rs 15.97 crore, a decent figure that already places it ahead of the Kartik-Ananya starrer.

Clearly, 'Dhurandhar' is in a league of its own, rewriting the rules of box office longevity and commercial success in modern Bollywood. The industry and fans alike are now watching keenly to see if this cinematic tsunami can eventually surpass the high-water mark set by 'Pushpa 2'.
