Dhurandhar Box Office Day 35: Ranveer Singh Film Eyes Rs 800 Cr Milestone
Dhurandhar Day 35 Collection: Nears Rs 800 Cr in India

The historic box office run of Ranveer Singh's mega-blockbuster Dhurandhar is gradually entering its final phase, but not before setting a few more milestones. On its 35th day in theatres, the Aditya Dhar-directed epic has added another Rs 4.25 crore to its monumental domestic haul, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk.

The Final Frontier: The Rs 800 Crore Club

As the film steps into its sixth weekend, all eyes are on the coveted Rs 800 crore net collection mark in India. Having already amassed over Rs 790 crore domestically, the film is merely a stone's throw away from this legendary benchmark. Analysts predict that crossing this threshold might take the entire weekend, potentially achieving the feat by day 38 of its theatrical run. Notably, the film's distributor, Jio Studios, has already stated that the film has collected Rs 831.4 crore.

Global Standings and Show Count Resilience

On the worldwide stage, Dhurandhar has minted a staggering Rs 1233 crore net. While the global record held by Sukumar's Pushpa 2 The Rule (Rs 1742 crore) seems distant, a closer battle is brewing in the Hindi net collection arena. The Telugu juggernaut Pushpa 2 earned Rs 812 crore in Hindi, a figure Dhurandhar is just Rs 22 crore shy of surpassing.

What remains truly impressive is the film's staying power in cinemas. Despite a natural slowdown, the film is still being screened in over 3600 shows nationwide, a remarkable feat for any title in its sixth week. This resilience is being tested by a slew of new releases, starting with James Cameron's Avatar: Fire and Ash in mid-December, followed by Sriram Raghavan's Ikkis. The latest challenger is Prabhas's The Raja Saab, which could further fragment audience attention.

Occupancy Rates and The Road Ahead

The overall occupancy for Dhurandhar on Day 35 averaged 10.81%. The day saw a gradual pick-up: morning shows recorded 6.24% occupancy, afternoon shows climbed to 11.60%, while evening and night shows managed 12.51% and 12.89% respectively.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar features an ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R Madhavan. The film has already cemented its place as the highest-grossing Hindi film of all time and Ranveer Singh's biggest career hit, having shattered numerous box office records on its legendary run.
