Dhurandhar Storms Past Rs 500 Cr in 16 Days, Becomes Ranveer's Biggest Hit
Dhurandhar Box Office: Rs 516 Cr in 16 Days, Eyes Rs 1000 Cr

The Bollywood juggernaut 'Dhurandhar', starring Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, shows absolutely no signs of stopping. The film has powered through its third weekend with phenomenal momentum, cementing its status as an all-time blockbuster and setting new benchmarks for Hindi cinema.

Record-Breaking Third Week Collections

According to early estimates from industry tracker Sacnilk, 'Dhurandhar' earned a massive Rs 33.50 crore net in India on its 16th day (Saturday). This came from a wide release across 5,398 shows. The film had opened its third week on Friday with a strong Rs 22.5 crore, indicating that audience interest is far from waning.

The film's journey has been one for the record books. It concluded its first week with an outstanding Rs 207.25 crore net. Defying all trends, it outperformed its own opening week in the second week, adding a staggering estimated Rs 253.25 crore. This pushed the two-week total to approximately Rs 460.5 crore net. With the robust third-weekend numbers, the film's total net collection in India has now soared past the Rs 516.5 crore mark.

Second-Fastest to Rs 500 Crore & Ranveer's Crown Jewel

This explosive performance has made 'Dhurandhar' the second-fastest Hindi film ever to cross the Rs 500 crore net milestone. The record is held by the Telugu mega-hit 'Pushpa 2 - The Rule', which achieved the feat in 11 days. However, 'Dhurandhar' has surpassed several other giants.

It beat Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan', which previously held the record by reaching Rs 500 crore in 18 days. It also outperformed this year's other major blockbuster 'Chhaava', which took 23 days to hit the mark.

Most significantly for its lead star, 'Dhurandhar' has become Ranveer Singh's highest-grossing film of all time. This is his maiden entry into the elite Rs 500 crore net club, surpassing his previous blockbusters by a huge margin.

On the Path to the Rs 1000 Crore Worldwide Club

The film's gross collections are equally breathtaking. On Day 16 alone, its gross collection stood at an estimated Rs 40.20 crore. Its total India gross has now crossed the Rs 700 crore mark, with domestic gross collections estimated at around Rs 780 crore.

The magic of 'Dhurandhar' isn't confined to Indian shores. At the international box office, the film has registered solid numbers, with overseas collections estimated at approximately Rs 160 crore. Consequently, the film's total worldwide gross has climbed to around Rs 940 crore.

Given its unstoppable pace and exceptional hold, industry analysts are unanimous: it is only a matter of time before 'Dhurandhar' enters the coveted Rs 1000 crore worldwide club. The film's success is attributed to powerful performances, a gripping narrative, and exceptional word-of-mouth that has led to repeat viewings across the country.
