Dhurandhar Day 33 Box Office: Record ₹781.75 Cr, Eyes Pushpa 2 Crown
Dhurandhar Box Office Day 33: Nears All-Time Record

Ranveer Singh's high-octane spy action thriller, Dhurandhar, continues its historic box office run even as it enters a quieter phase in its sixth week. On its 33rd day in theatres, the film's daily collections have dipped to single digits, but this is far from a sign of weakness. Instead, it underscores the movie's unprecedented staying power after five record-shattering weeks.

A Slowing Pace or a Record-Breaking Norm?

According to data from industry tracker Sacnilk, Dhurandhar collected ₹4.75 crore net on its 33rd day, Tuesday, 6 January 2026. This marks only the second time since its release on 5 December 2025 that the film's daily earnings have fallen below the ₹10 crore mark. However, this minor dip comes on the back of a phenomenal fifth weekend where the film amassed a staggering ₹33.25 crore net over three days.

This fifth-weekend performance was enough to make Dhurandhar the biggest fifth-weekend grosser in the history of Hindi cinema, surpassing the previous record held by Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava. In fact, the film's total for the entire fifth week stands at an impressive ₹42.75 crore, which is significantly higher than Chhaava's full fifth-week total of ₹30 crore.

On the Cusp of Box Office History

The cumulative domestic net collection for Dhurandhar now stands at a monumental ₹781.75 crore after 33 days. This places the Aditya Dhar-directed film within touching distance of the ultimate prize. It is now approximately ₹30 crore away from overtaking Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2: The Rule to become the all-time highest net grosser in Hindi cinema.

With no major Hindi film releases in the immediate future to challenge its screen count, industry analysts believe Dhurandhar is perfectly positioned to break this final record during its extended theatrical run. The film's sustained performance is attributed to robust word-of-mouth praise for its grand scale, spectacular action sequences, and pure genre appeal.

Strong Hold in Theatres Across India

The film maintained a steady audience on Day 33, recording an overall Hindi occupancy of 12.98%. The occupancy built up through the day, starting at 7.39% for morning shows and peaking at 15.82% for night shows. A key indicator of its enduring popularity is its massive show count. The film is still being screened in 914 shows in Delhi-NCR and 617 shows in Mumbai.

Interestingly, Chennai reported the highest occupancy at 23.25%, despite having only 65 shows, followed by Mumbai and Pune at 15.75%. This pan-India hold demonstrates the film's widespread acceptance beyond its core Hindi-speaking markets.

Global Box Office Dominance

Dhurandhar's success story is not confined to India. The film is also a major force at the international box office. As per Sacnilk data, the movie has grossed approximately ₹1,220 crore worldwide. Out of this, the overseas contribution is a massive ₹282 crore, and it is on the verge of crossing the ₹300 crore mark internationally.

Producer Jio Studios, in a celebratory social media post marking "a month of unprecedented dominance," announced that the film's worldwide gross had already reached ₹1,240 crore. Regardless of the slight variance in figures, the consensus is clear: Dhurandhar has emerged as one of the biggest box office successes for Hindi cinema in recent years, cementing Ranveer Singh's star power and Aditya Dhar's directorial prowess.
