Dhurandhar: The Revenge Makers Issue Revised Print After Viral Goof
The blockbuster film Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to dominate the box office with impressive global earnings, but it recently made headlines for a different reason. The makers have swiftly addressed a minor error by sending a revised print to theatres across the country after a goof went viral on social media.
Goof in Fight Scene Sparks Online Frenzy
Following the film's release, fans widely praised director Aditya Dhar's attention to detail. However, a brief mistake in a fight sequence quickly captured public attention. A clip from the scene featuring Ranveer Singh and Udaybir Sandhu surfaced online, showing a cameraman visible in a mirror reflection. Although it was a blink-and-miss moment, social media users turned it into a meme fest, sharing the clip extensively and highlighting the unnoticed detail.
Revised Print Sent to Theatres Promptly
In response to the viral issue, the production team acted promptly. According to a report from Bollywood Hungama, revised prints of the film were dispatched to cinemas nationwide with instructions for immediate screening. Some theatres received the updated version on Saturday, while others got it on Sunday, ensuring that audiences would now view the corrected film without the visible goof.
Error Fixed in New Version
The updated print has successfully removed the mistake that gained traction online. The report confirmed that the cameraman is no longer visible in the mirror's reflection. It noted that while delivering such a mammoth production involves managing countless aspects, occasional errors can occur, even in Hollywood films. The team's quick correction is commendable, and the rectified version will be used for all future screenings, including on OTT platforms and satellite broadcasts after the theatrical run.
Story Continues with High Stakes
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar: The Revenge builds on the narrative from its first installment, exploring the journey of an Indian spy navigating complex missions. The film delves deeper into the past of Ranveer Singh's character, Jaskirat Singh Rangi, and expands on his identity as Hamza, adding layers to the high-stakes storyline.
Record-Breaking Box Office Run
Despite the minor controversy, the film has maintained a strong box office performance, crossing significant milestones shortly after release. As per reported figures from Sacnilk, Dhurandhar: The Revenge achieved a gross of over Rs 1000 crore in India by Day 11. Its worldwide collection stands at Rs 1365 crore, including Rs 1023 crore from India and Rs 342 crore from overseas markets. The total India net collection has reached Rs 867 crore, surpassing the lifetime worldwide collection of its predecessor, Dhurandhar.
