ABC News correspondent Will Reeve exchanged vows with event planner Amanda Dubin in a private ceremony held in Miami on January 17. The couple celebrated their union surrounded by close family members, friends, and several colleagues from ABC News.
Celebrations Shared on Social Media
Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts marked the occasion by sharing a photograph from the celebrations on social media. The image featured Roberts with her wife Amber Laign, both dressed up for the nuptials. Roberts wrote in an Instagram Stories post on January 18, "Ready to celebrate Amanda & Will."
GMA contributor Lara Spencer also posted highlights from the wedding on her social media accounts. She described the event as "a joyous day celebrating" the couple's "beautiful love story." The bride herself seemed to approve of the posts, commenting on Lara's upload with the words, "We love you!!"
A Relationship Blossoming Publicly
Will Reeve, who is 33 years old, and Amanda Dubin, aged 29, first made their relationship public in April 2023. They shared a photograph from Paris on social media at that time. The couple announced their engagement in November 2023 after Reeve proposed during what he described as a staged charity event in Manhattan.
Reeve explained the proposal details during an appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark in February. "We walk in and she's like, 'Oh, it's beautiful!' And Amanda starts taking video of the event because she's an event planner, so she's getting inspiration," Will said. "I go, 'You're going to have to put your phone down now.' And she goes, 'Oh my God!' And then she knew what was happening."
Carrying Forward a Legacy
Will Reeve is the youngest son of the late actor Christopher Reeve, who gained global fame for portraying Superman in the 1978 film and its sequels. Christopher Reeve passed away in 2004 at the age of 52 following cardiac arrest. He had been paralysed in a horse-riding accident nearly a decade earlier. His wife, Dana Reeve, died in 2006 after a battle with lung cancer.
Despite losing both parents at a young age, Reeve often speaks about their lasting influence on his life. In earlier interviews, he has expressed that talking about his parents helps him feel connected to them. He remains proud to carry forward their legacy.
"Talking about my parents keeps them with me," he told USA Today in September 2024. "I'm so proud to be their son, to be part of this family."
