In a candid revelation, actor Gulshan Devaiah has shared the reasons behind his decision to decline a role in the highly anticipated pan-Indian film, 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups'. The film, headlined by superstar Yash, is one of the most awaited projects in Indian cinema.
The Scheduling Conflict That Led to a 'No'
Speaking in a recent interview, Devaiah disclosed that he was offered a part in the film a considerable time ago. He had an extensive discussion with director Geetu Mohandas, who was keen on having him onboard. However, the collaboration did not materialize. "Geetu Mohandas and I had a long chat over this, and she really wanted me in that film, but it just didn't work out for a variety of reasons," the actor stated.
He pinpointed scheduling as the primary hurdle. "Mostly, I think it was scheduling, because their film was such a big film," Devaiah explained. He elaborated that the massive scale of the project, which was planned in multiple parts, clashed with his existing commitments. "The whole thing was in so many different parts, and I was like, I already have things going on over here, which I'm finding difficult to manage. So if I take up another one in a big franchise-level film, then it would not just work out. So, I didn’t do that," he added.
