Uma Sethuraman's Heartfelt Tribute on Late Husband's Sixth Death Anniversary

Actor Dr Sethuraman's wife, Uma Sethuraman, remembered her late husband in a deeply emotional social media post on his sixth death anniversary. She shared heart-wrenching details about how her life has progressed over the years while her love for him remains completely unchanged.

Daughter's Painful Question Breaks Hearts

Uma revealed a particularly poignant moment with their daughter, Sahana, that left her emotionally devastated. She wrote, "Another year has passed. It's 26th March 2026. That month of the year that you last breathed."

This marked the first time Sahana had spoken about her father in such direct terms. One night, the young girl cried and asked her mother, "Amma why does everyone have two people at home as family and why do I have only one person?"

Uma attempted to explain that every family structure differs, but Sahana responded with heartbreaking clarity, "But that's different Amma... we had an appa and he is dead. He can't come back." Uma confessed she had no adequate words and simply hugged her daughter tightly.

Living with Sethuraman's Enduring Memory

Uma shared that her daughter had never previously asked detailed questions about what happened or explicitly stated she missed her father. However, Uma knows his presence would have significantly enhanced Sahana's childhood experience. She wrote, "No regrets to something that we can't get back."

Despite the profound loss, the family maintains hope. Uma expressed, "We only wish that someday you will come back to us @dr_sethu. Keeping our doors and hearts open."

Love That Transcends Time and Loss

Uma concluded her emotional note with profound reflections on her enduring connection to her late husband. She explained she still feels his love daily and wondered about her own resilience through these difficult years.

"When I look back and think why I didn't go through sleepless nights for months, why didn't I feel depressed, how could I just eat normally, sleep normally, How could I work long hours, why don't I remember when I cried last. I know why. Ma ..... I know you are watching us each day. You are taking us through every moment. You are there at every decision. You are the light when the way ahead is a dark path. I still feel your love. I still love you. I still feel your heartbeat right next to mine. Nothing has changed in these six years. I only feel more attached to you. My heart beats for you and only you today and forever," she wrote with raw emotion.

Dr Sethuraman, known for his roles in popular Tamil films like 'Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya' and 'Sakka Podu Podu Raja', passed away due to cardiac arrest in 2020 at the young age of 36. He is survived by his wife Uma, their daughter Sahana, and a son who was born later that same year.

The actor's sudden departure left a significant void in the Tamil film industry and continues to resonate with fans who remember his contributions to cinema. Uma Sethuraman's heartfelt tribute provides a deeply personal glimpse into how families navigate profound loss while keeping memories alive across generations.
