On average, 80 such incidents occur in the country; it might even be more than that. We have now stopped giving importance to such cases, and we have normalized them, which is very sad." Her comments underscore a broader societal concern about the increasing number of student deaths linked to academic pressure and other factors.

Reports indicate that the death occurred near AIIMS Patna, where the student reportedly fell from the fourth floor of a coaching center on February 13. She was rushed for medical treatment but later succumbed to her injuries. The incident has sparked widespread attention and concern.

Early reports circulating on social media alleged sexual assault, adding a layer of complexity to the case. However, police officials have clarified that doctors have not confirmed any sexual or penetrative assault at this stage. A previous press note provided a critical detail, revealing that during forensic examination, traces of human sperm were found on an undergarment said to belong to the deceased student.

Officials have disclosed that a DNA profile is now being meticulously prepared. This profile will be matched with the arrested accused and other suspects identified by the Special Investigation Team. Investigators are actively examining multiple sources of evidence, including CCTV footage, statements from students at the coaching center, and forensic findings, to determine the exact sequence of events that transpired inside the building before the fall.
