Sudha Chandran Recounts Chilling Paranormal Encounter During Gujarat Filming

Veteran television actor and classical dancer Sudha Chandran has recently opened up about a series of terrifying paranormal experiences that have left her deeply shaken over the years. In an exclusive interview with Hindi Rush, the acclaimed performer revealed her heightened sensitivity to supernatural energies and shared spine-chilling incidents from her shoots, including a particularly harrowing night in Gujarat.

A Night of Terror in Gujarat: The Energy Attack

Sudha Chandran described an incident that occurred while she was filming in Gujarat, where she claims to have been directly attacked by a paranormal entity. "I can sense paranormal activity very quickly," she stated. "This happened when I was shooting in Gujarat. It happened right in front of my eyes. I was attacked."

Recounting the details, she explained that after a long day on set, she returned to her room around 11:30 PM, had dinner, and went to sleep with her mother sharing the same bed. Upon waking, she noticed a cupboard in the room was open and immediately sensed an ominous energy moving toward her. "When it reached me, it felt like a heavy weight pressing down on my chest. I was trying to open my mouth, but no sound was coming out. I couldn't move my hands, even though my mother was right next to me," she recalled.

The presence grew increasingly intense. "I could see it growling. I could sense that it was entering my body," Sudha said. In a moment of sheer panic, she turned to her faith, invoking Lord Kartik and managing to strike her mother to alert her. "Suddenly my voice came back. The pressure that was on my chest slowly lifted and left my body." Her mother then applied vibhuti (sacred ash), which helped calm her completely.

Additional Eerie Experiences and Superstitions

Sudha Chandran also shared another unsettling experience from a shoot in South India, where she would hear the sound of anklets and a woman crying at night. When she inquired about it, locals responded cryptically, "What can we even say, madam? This place itself is like this."

Over time, she has learned to trust her instincts implicitly. "The moment I enter a place, I can sense if something isn't right. I tell my husband that this place doesn't feel right and that we should play the Hanuman Chalisa. I always do puja wherever I go," she explained. She added a philosophical perspective: "It's possible that a spirit may not want to attack us, but maybe we're sitting in a space that belongs to them. What's the harm in offering a prayer?"

She also discussed customs adopted during her work in the South, such as avoiding wearing Mogra flowers at night. "When I was shooting Mayuri in the South, we used to wear Mogra in our hair. But as soon as night fell, the hairdresser would remove it and say, 'Madam, don't go out at night wearing this. Don't step out with your hair open. Don't apply perfume. Please change your clothes,'" she recalled. Sudha emphasized that she follows such advice without question, respecting the wisdom behind these traditions.

Reflections on a Viral Video and Spiritual Beliefs

In the same interview, Sudha Chandran addressed a recent viral video from a mata ki chowki at her home, which showed her in a trance-like state. She admitted to having little memory of the event but expressed her belief in divine blessings. "I don't remember what I was when I was in that zone. I won't even say that the goddess herself entered me, because if that happens, your body will explode. No human can endure that energy," she said. "Some percentage of her might have entered me as a blessing; that's it. Maybe it was her presence, maybe not. But I do know that I am blessed. I believe in these things, and it has happened with me."

Through these accounts, Sudha Chandran highlights her profound encounters with the paranormal and the role of faith in navigating such experiences, offering a glimpse into the unseen world that she believes coexists with our own.
