The highly anticipated film 'King' has reached its climax stage, with Shah Rukh Khan and director Siddharth Anand heading to South Africa to film an elaborate action-packed sequence. According to Variety India, the makers have scheduled an 18-day climax shoot spread over two phases.

The first phase kicks off with a week-long shoot in South Africa starting Sunday, April 26, followed by 10 days in Mumbai. Siddharth Anand has planned highly stylized and elaborate action set pieces for the climax. The South Africa schedule is ready to roll, while another team is already preparing for the Mumbai schedule. Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Abhishek Bachchan will all be part of these sequences.

Shah Rukh Khan Secures South Africa Permissions

Reportedly, Shah Rukh reached out directly to South Africa's President to secure quick filming approvals, with permissions granted within three days. Following the cancellation of the April Dubai schedule due to regional tensions, 'King' is now on an international shoot. Siddharth plans to complete the climax by May 15 and principal photography by September, while simultaneously handling post-production for the Christmas 2026 release.

'King' embodies Siddharth Anand's signature high-energy style and marks his second collaboration with Shah Rukh after the blockbuster 'Pathaan'. While the plot remains tightly guarded, Shah Rukh reportedly plays a veteran assassin who teams up with Suhana Khan's character for a revenge-driven mission. Anirudh Ravichander, who debuted in Bollywood with Jawan, is handling the music and has already submitted multiple hit tracks, with two already shot in Mumbai. The film is a joint production by SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment and Siddharth Anand's Marflix.
