Karjat's Growing Appeal as an Investment Destination

Karjat, located in Maharashtra's Raigad district near Mumbai, has emerged as a popular destination for land investments and second homes in recent years. Its appeal is driven by improved connectivity and scenic surroundings, making it an attractive option for both residential and commercial real estate ventures.

Recent Real Estate Activity Involving Sonu Nigam

This is not the first time Sonu Nigam has made headlines for real estate dealings. In 2025, he leased a commercial property in Mumbai's Santacruz East for a five-year period, with the total rental value pegged at over Rs 12.61 crore.

Earlier this year, in February 2026, his father Agam Kumar Nigam purchased a 1,197 sq m land parcel along with a ground-plus-one-floor residential and commercial structure in Madh Island for Rs 10 crore, according to property registration documents accessed by Liases Foras.

The singer's consistent involvement in high-value property transactions highlights the ongoing trend of celebrities diversifying their investment portfolios through real estate, particularly in burgeoning areas like Karjat.
