The cast and crew of the highly anticipated film 'Border 2' have gathered at a poignant location for a major musical event. Led by singer Sonu Nigam and key stars, the team arrived in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, to launch the song 'Ghar Kab Aaoge' in the presence of Border Security Force (BSF) personnel.
An Emotional Tribute at the Border
The launch event is scheduled for today in the Tanot area of Jaisalmer, near the sensitive India-Pakistan border. This setting adds profound significance to the song, which serves as a tribute to the nation's soldiers. Sonu Nigam, who is set to perform the track live, described the day as deeply emotional. "It is an emotional day because we will be singing the song today, which we sang 30 years ago," he told the media, drawing a connection to the original 1997 film 'Border'.
The star-studded delegation that flew in from Mumbai includes producer Bhushan Kumar, actors Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty, actress and producer Nidhi Dutta, alongside Sonu Nigam. They were joined by lead actor Sunny Deol, who traveled with the team to the Tanot Mata Temple for the song's launch. Varun Dhawan was seen in casual attire, sporting a brown shirt and jacket with denim jeans.
High-Profile BSF Presence and Song Details
The promotional event is being held under the watchful eyes and with the participation of a large contingent of BSF officers. Senior officials in attendance include Inspector General of BSF Rajasthan Frontier ML Garg, DIG of BSF Sector North Jatinder Singh Binji, and Commandant of BSF 20 Battalion Neeraj Sharma.
'Ghar Kab Aaoge' is a reimagined version of the iconic anthem 'Sandese Aate Hain' from the original war film. The new rendition features vocals by Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra, and Diljit Dosanjh. While based on Anu Malik's original composition, the music for this version has been recreated by Mithoon. The lyrics retain Javed Akhtar's classic lines, with additional verses penned by Manoj Muntashir Shukla.
