Shraddha Kapoor Applauds 'Dhurandhar' Technicians, Calls Film a Milestone
Shraddha Kapoor Hails Technicians Behind Blockbuster 'Dhurandhar'

Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor has turned the spotlight onto the often-invisible backbone of filmmaking – the technicians. In a heartfelt series of social media posts, she celebrated the crew behind the recent cinematic spectacle, 'Dhurandhar', labelling the film a significant milestone for Indian cinema.

A Salute to the Invisible Artisans

Taking to her Instagram stories, Shraddha Kapoor shared a powerful reflection on the essence of great filmmaking. She pointed out that in the most impactful movies, the technical work seamlessly blends into the narrative, becoming invisible to the audience. Yet, it is this very craftsmanship that breathes life and soul into a project.

"In the greatest films, the work of technicians is invisible. #Dhurandhar is a big moment for Indian cinema. Let's make the technicians of this marvel visible and applaud them," she wrote. She specifically credited the casting director, praising the perfectly chosen ensemble cast that forms the foundation of the film's power.

Deconstructing the 'Dhurandhar' Magic

Kapoor went beyond general praise, meticulously acknowledging the key departments and individuals responsible for the film's raw energy and authentic feel. She asserted that such a powerful cinematic experience is never accidental.

"When a film looks so authentic, badass, powerful, it's never by chance," she stated. She tagged and thanked the creative minds behind the visuals, including the director of photography, production designer, and costume designers.

She also highlighted the crucial role of sound design and music, noting how they manipulate the audience's pulse. "When you feel that 'resonance' and your pulse changes with every scene, there are master craftsmen in the audio dept making it happen," she added, naming the sound designers and lyricist. Kapoor concluded this tribute by acknowledging the producers, Aditya Dhar, Lokesh Dhar, and Jyoti Deshpande, as the bedrock upon which this greatness was built.

From Impatient Fan to Defender Against Negative PR

This is not the first time Shraddha has expressed her admiration for 'Dhurandhar'. Earlier, she penned a note playfully chiding director Aditya Dhar for the agonizing wait for the second part. "Truly terrible of Aditya Dhar to make a film like Dhurandhar. And then make us wait three months for Part 2," she joked, even requesting a preponed release due to the emotional impact of the film.

She also addressed the challenges the film faced prior to release, speaking out against the "rampant negative PR" and manufactured controversies targeting the project. She commended co-star Yami Gautam for calling out this machinery and expressed unwavering faith in the audience's judgment. "No bad force can pull a good film down. In audiences, we trust," she affirmed with confidence.

The film, which is the first part of a two-part series, features an ensemble cast led by Ranveer Singh, alongside Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Sara Arjun, among others. Its plot revolves around a high-stakes Indian intelligence mission spanning a decade, where an undercover agent infiltrates Karachi's underworld to dismantle cross-border terror networks.

'Dhurandhar' draws inspiration from real-life geopolitical events, including the 1999 Indian plane hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, and covert operations linked to India's Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW). Shraddha Kapoor's praise underscores the collective effort behind this ambitious cinematic venture, reminding everyone that while stars shine on screen, it takes an army of talented technicians to create movie magic.
