"This marks my seventh or eighth visit to Lucknow within just four years," Sanjay revealed, emphasizing how his current extended stay has deepened his connection. "Right now, I've been here for over a month, and it's genuinely starting to feel like home." He expressed particular admiration for the city's expansive green spaces, citing Janeshwar Mishra Park as a standout. "I've never seen such a massive park in the middle of a city. I enjoyed cycling and even boating on its lake. The infrastructure is impressive, and it's remarkably clean."

Sanjay's affection for Lucknow extends to its culinary scene and the warmth of its residents. "The people here are incredibly warm-hearted. Wherever we go, we're greeted with immense love. They immediately ask if we want chaat or kebabs—it's unmatched hospitality," he shared. During his stay, he has explored various locales, from Hanuman Setu to Indira Dam, and indulged in local eateries. "I've tried everything, even small, lesser-known chaat shops with amazing flavors."

The actor is currently filming a web show titled Hotspot, which is set in Lucknow. While details remain confidential, Sanjay hinted at his role. "The story is based in Lucknow, and the creators aimed for authenticity—raw and organic. My character is larger-than-life, and such roles often depict affluent individuals," he said with a laugh.

"When I told my family about my acting aspirations, people joked I'd only get roles in Ekta Kapoor's shows. Ironically, my first break was with her," he recalled. He credits television for his growth as an actor. "Television provided unmatched practical experience. I had no formal training; it taught me everything."
However, he acknowledges post-pandemic challenges in the industry. "Monetary issues are significant—budgets have been disrupted. But trends change, and life is uncertain. My mindset is to focus on good work; when a project is destined to succeed, it will," he stated. He also noted shifts in entertainment consumption. "OTT platforms initially sparked a craze, but now there's saturation. Yet, audiences are returning to theaters, proving that quality content always finds its audience."

Sanjay spoke candidly about financial lessons learned from past mistakes. "During my six-year stint on a previous show, I didn't invest anything—that was my biggest lesson. If you earn 100 rupees, invest 70. I splurged on luxuries like a car instead," he admitted. "Now, I advise young actors to invest at least half of their earnings. Life is unpredictable, and financial security is crucial."
On the personal front, he addressed rumors of marital discord with actor Poonam Preet. "It was just rumors. We laughed about it at home, knowing the truth would come out eventually," he clarified. Regarding family plans, he added, "I've surrendered to God's plan. Do I see myself as a father? Why not?"
