Sana Khan Speaks Out Against Brainwashing Allegations

Former actress Sana Khan has once again addressed persistent claims that she was brainwashed into leaving Bollywood. The actress, known for her roles in films like Jai Ho and Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, made a surprising exit from the entertainment industry in 2020. She cited a desire to serve humanity and follow her faith as the primary reasons for her decision.

Secret Wedding Details Revealed

In a recent conversation with fellow actress Rashami Desai, Sana Khan opened up about her discreet marriage to Muslim cleric Mufti Anas Sayed. She revealed that the wedding preparations were kept completely secret. Only her parents knew about the arrangements.

"When our marriage was finalized, it was a top secret," Sana explained. "Nobody knew except for my mom and dad. Nobody even knew the groom's name."

She shared an interesting anecdote from her mehndi ceremony. The mehndi artist asked for the groom's name to write in the design. Sana told her to leave it blank, saying they would write it next time. This level of secrecy extended to her extended family as well.

Personal Transformation Before Marriage

Sana Khan firmly rejected suggestions that her husband influenced her decision to leave Bollywood. She emphasized that her transformation began well before her marriage.

"The situation was such that major changes were happening in my life," she said. "I was literally transforming into a different person. And this was not something caused by my husband, it was something I wanted for myself."

She acknowledged that her husband guided her in this direction, but stressed the decision was entirely her own. Sana explained that she was searching for inner peace despite having achieved fame and success in the film industry.

Addressing Brainwashing Claims Directly

Responding to online trolls who accused her husband of brainwashing her, Sana didn't hold back. "Nobody can brainwash you; it's never like that. I wanted peace," she stated clearly.

She elaborated on her thought process, saying that material success doesn't necessarily bring inner peace. "A person may get money, fame, name, and respect, but eventually, they keep searching for inner peace," she explained.

Sana also reflected on how her environment and personal growth influenced her decisions. She values her relationship with her husband deeply because of the positive changes it brought to her life.

Emotional Bond With Husband

Sana spoke emotionally about her relationship with Mufti Anas Sayed. "I keep telling my husband that I could have never found anyone better than him," she shared. "It was indeed a tough decision, but I went for it."

She revealed that even her cousins were unaware of her marriage initially. They only discovered it when they saw her husband at a mosque and recognized him as Maulana Anas.

Regarding wedding expenses, Sana clarified that she paid for her mehndi ceremony herself. Her husband took care of all other arrangements including the nikah ceremony, accommodation and food for her family, and the reception.

The former actress, who rose to fame after participating in Bigg Boss 6, continues to maintain that her life choices stem from personal conviction rather than external influence. Her story highlights the complex journey of personal transformation that sometimes leads public figures away from the spotlight they once embraced.
