Samir Soni Shares Nostalgic Throwback to 'Vivah's' Challenging Waterfall Shoot

Bollywood actor Samir Soni recently took a trip down memory lane, recalling the demanding shooting conditions during the production of the 2006 romantic drama 'Vivah'. The film, directed by Sooraj Barjatya, became a major box office success and continues to be cherished by audiences for its clean storytelling and heartfelt performances.

The Freezing Waterfall Sequence in Lonavla

In a social media post, Soni reposted an old still from the film originally shared by co-star Lata Sabharwal. He accompanied the image with a personal note detailing the particularly challenging circumstances faced by the cast. The team filmed a song sequence beneath a waterfall in Lonavla during winter, enduring freezing temperatures for several hours.

"I remember @shahidkapoor @amrita_rao_insta and us shooting a song all day while shivering in the Lonavla winter waterfall," Soni wrote. He emphasized that the entire cast, including Shahid Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Lata Sabharwal, and himself, were left shivering uncontrollably after completing the shoot.

The Iconic Picnic Scene in 'Vivah'

This waterfall sequence is part of the film's memorable picnic scene, which plays a crucial role in the narrative. The scene features Prem (played by Shahid Kapoor) and Poonam (played by Amrita Rao) spending quality time with their families, strengthening their bond before their wedding.
