A significant asset from the movie, widely expected to be the official teaser, is scheduled to drop between 2 pm and 4 pm India Standard Time (IST) on that day. This move is seen as a direct treat for his massive fanbase, offering them the first substantial look at the project.
This teaser release is poised to kickstart a large-scale promotional campaign leading up to the film's theatrical release, which is tentatively eyed for mid-2026. Battle of Galwan is a fictionalised dramatisation of the real-life June 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops. The high-altitude confrontation, which occurred at over 15,000 feet, resulted in casualties and left a deep impact on the national consciousness.
The film is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and stars Salman Khan in the lead role. Reports indicate Khan is portraying Colonel B. Santosh Babu, the commanding officer of the 16 Bihar Regiment who led the Indian troops during the standoff. His co-star is Chitrangda Singh, with the ensemble cast including Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, and Abhilash Chaudhary.

To ensure geographical realism, the crew undertook a gruelling 45-day filming schedule in the challenging terrains of Ladakh. The screenplay draws inspiration from accounts published in the book India's Most Fearless 3 by journalists Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh. This project follows Khan's recent release, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss.
