Kantara Star Rishabh Shetty Attends Sacred Ceremony at Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt
Renowned actor and filmmaker Rishabh Shetty, celebrated for his blockbuster film Kantara, made a spiritual visit to the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt in Mantralayam village. This pilgrimage occurred on the concluding day of the Sri Raghavendra Guruvaibhavotsava, a significant religious festival honoring the saint.
Grand Procession and Sacred Rituals Mark the Occasion
According to official updates from the mutt's website, the event featured a magnificent procession known as the Prahlada Rajara Pallaki Utsava. This ceremonial parade was reverently taken to the holy Parimala Teertha Pushkarani, a sacred water body. His Holiness Swamiji presided over the Theppotsava, or float festival, which was conducted amidst traditional Vedic chants and deep devotional fervor.
Distinguished participants in the sacred ceremony included CN Ashwath Narayana, a donor from Bengaluru, alongside actors Rishabh Shetty and Jaggesh. During his time at the mutt, Shetty also had darshan of Lord Rayaru, seeking blessings and spiritual solace.
Visit Coincides with Filming of Upcoming Mythological Epic Jai Hanuman
Shetty's visit to Mantralayam was strategically timed with the ongoing shooting schedule of his highly anticipated upcoming film, Jai Hanuman. This mythological action project was officially launched with a grand muhurat puja on February 22 at Anjanadri Betta in Hampi, a site revered as the birthplace of Lord Hanuman.
In conversations with the media, Rishabh Shetty clarified the purpose of his visit, stating, "I have come to the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt for the Aradhana celebrations. The launch of the film Jai Hanuman was held at Anjanadri. As an artist, I was drawn to the role and accepted it. In the coming days, when the trailer is released, we will understand the audience's opinion."
Jai Hanuman: A Major Installment in the Expanding Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe
Jai Hanuman is positioned as a direct mythological action sequel to the 2024 superhit film Hanu-Man. It represents a crucial and major installment in the rapidly expanding Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), which has captured the imagination of audiences nationwide.
Rishabh Shetty will portray the titular character, Lord Hanuman, in this ambitious film. The project has generated immense buzz and excitement since its initial announcement, which was strategically made on the auspicious occasion of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
High-Budget Pan-India Venture with Stellar Talent
The film is being mounted as a high-budget pan-India venture, aiming to reach audiences across linguistic and regional boundaries. Adding to its prestige, the music for Jai Hanuman will be composed by the Academy Award-winning composer MM Keeravani, promising a powerful and evocative soundtrack.
Actor Teja Sajja, who played the lead role in the predecessor Hanu-Man, was also present at the grand launch ceremony in Hampi, showing support for the new chapter in this cinematic universe. The project continues to be a focal point of entertainment news, highlighting the blend of devotion, mythology, and large-scale filmmaking in contemporary Indian cinema.
