A beloved figure from the Kannada reality television landscape met a tragic end on Tuesday in a devastating road accident on a national highway in Karnataka's Uttara Kannada district. The incident occurred on the national highway near Kolikere in Yellapur taluk. According to preliminary police reports, Bavatis was riding his two-wheeler from Yellapur toward Haliyal when the accident happened. A speeding Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus, traveling from the Hubballi direction, was involved in the collision.
The impact was severe and immediate. The motorcycle rammed into the oncoming bus at high speed, causing the front portion of the two-wheeler to catch fire instantly. The vehicle was completely charred in the blaze. Bavatis, a resident of Garadolli village in Haliyal taluk, succumbed to his injuries at the scene and was declared dead on the spot.
