Viral Throwback Video Sparks Online Buzz

In the resurfaced video, which dates back to 2018, Rajpal Yadav is seen addressing the media with heartfelt words about Salman Khan. "Salman bhai bade bhai ki tarah hain, Salman bhai ke sath aaj baith ke andar se bahot khushi mehsoos hoti hai," Yadav stated, translating to "Salman bhai is like an elder brother, sitting with Salman bhai today makes me feel very happy from within." He further added, "Sach me relieve mehsoos kar raha hoon," meaning "I truly feel relieved."

Manager Clarifies Rajpal Yadav's Current Legal Status

Contrary to the swirling rumors, Rajpal Yadav has not been released from jail. His manager, Bhaskar Upadhyay, issued a detailed statement on Thursday to clarify the actor's complex financial situation. Upadhyay confirmed that half of the amount in the financial insolvency case has been paid off.

"The money that was invested from the investment purpose has not been denied," Upadhyay explained. "Earlier, when there was talk of money, the company had refused to take money. Negotiations are underway on the 2012 agreement, in which three months have already been served."

Regarding the source of the funds, Upadhyay remained discreet, stating, "I can't say anything about who gave money to Rajpal Yadav, it is a family matter. I will personally go to the jail and tell him how it needs to be done. Out of the five crores so far, two and a half crores have been given, see what the court decides on Monday."

Background of Rajpal Yadav's Debt Case

Rajpal Yadav's legal troubles stem from a loan he took to finance his film 'Ata Pata Laapata' in 2010. Reports indicate he was unable to repay the loan, leading to multiple cheque bounce cases. In 2018, a magisterial court sentenced both Yadav and his wife to a six-month jail term.

More recently, on February 5, 2026, Yadav surrendered to the police following a directive from the Delhi High Court. The ongoing case involves a substantial financial dispute, with the viral video's resurgence prompting questions about potential support from Bollywood figures like Salman Khan.

Separating Fact from Fiction

While the viral video has certainly captured public attention, it is crucial to distinguish between past events and current realities. The clip is from 2018 and does not reflect Yadav's present circumstances. The speculation about his release appears to be unfounded, as confirmed by his manager's statement.

The entertainment industry often sees such moments where old footage resurfaces, leading to misinterpretations. In this instance, the admiration expressed by Rajpal Yadav for Salman Khan has been taken out of context, fueling rumors without substantive evidence.

As the legal proceedings continue, all eyes will be on the court's decision regarding Yadav's debt case. The situation underscores the complexities of financial disputes in the film industry and the rapid spread of misinformation in the digital age.
