Rajpal Yadav Breaks Silence on Priyadarshan's Education Remark After Tihar Jail Release
Rajpal Yadav Reacts to Priyadarshan's Education Comment Post Bail

Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has publicly responded to filmmaker Priyadarshan's recent comments about his education and personal situation, following his release from Tihar Jail on interim bail. The actor, who surrendered in connection with a 2012 cheque-bounce case, secured bail until March 18 to attend a family wedding, and has now addressed multiple allegations in a Mumbai press conference.

Rajpal Yadav Defends His Education and Career

In a sharp rebuttal to Priyadarshan's remarks, Rajpal Yadav stated, "This is completely wrong. Priyanji doesn't know me. I am well educated guy, I have been working since the age of 11 to 55." The actor emphasized that even the most accomplished individuals face challenges unrelated to their educational background. "Had I been poorly educated, I wouldn't have survived here for 25-30 years," he added, referencing his long-standing career in the film industry.

Priyadarshan's Controversial Comments

In an earlier interview with MidDay, filmmaker Priyadarshan had discussed Rajpal Yadav's legal troubles, suggesting he asked producers to increase the actor's remuneration "because of his situation" and that they "want to save him." Priyadarshan also remarked that Rajpal "made a blunder because of his poor education," while simultaneously calling him "a good soul."

Respect Amid Disagreement

Despite his strong disagreement with Priyadarshan's assessment, Rajpal Yadav maintained respect for the filmmaker. "I respect three directors a lot, Mr. Ram Gopal Varma, David Dhawan, and Priyadarshan. I look up to them," he said. The actor noted he has collaborated on more than 50 films with these three directors alone.

Rajpal explained his perspective further: "Poor education doesn't apply here because there is another intention. I am like Priyanji's son. Whenever he asks, I would like to give an exam as an actor for a lifetime to him."

Industry Support and Legal Situation

The actor also addressed the support he has received from Bollywood colleagues during his legal challenges. However, he pointed out that industry members don't have complete information about his circumstances. "Priyanji or anyone from Bollywood doesn't know the whole story, so any judgments from them don't hold value," Rajpal stated.

Rajpal Yadav's legal situation stems from a 2012 cheque-bounce case that recently led to his surrender at Tihar Jail. The court granted him interim bail until March 18 specifically to allow his participation in a family wedding ceremony. His emotional brother expressed optimism about the future, saying "Achhe Din Aane Wale Hain" (good days are coming).

The actor's press conference in Mumbai marked his first comprehensive public statement since these developments, addressing both the fraud allegations against him and the industry commentary surrounding his personal and professional life.
