Rajat Arora Details On-Set Injury During Dhurandhar Action Sequence

Actor Rajat Arora recently opened up about a challenging moment during the filming of the upcoming spy thriller 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge'. In an exclusive interview, Arora, who portrays the character Mukka in director Aditya Dhar's highly anticipated sequel, recounted sustaining an injury while shooting a demanding action scene.

The Incident and Ranveer Singh's Immediate Response

"Yes, there was an incident during an action scene where I got injured, but I continued performing until the shot was completed," Rajat Arora told IANS. He described how, after finishing the take, he fell to the ground, prompting a swift reaction from his co-star. "Ranveer Singh came running towards me and picked me up," Arora recalled.

Ranveer Singh, who plays agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi in the film, offered words of empathy and support. "He said, 'I know it is quite painful, as my wife also went through the same pain, and she also didn't tell anyone when she was shooting,'" Arora shared, referring to Deepika Padukone's own experiences with on-set injuries.

Following the incident, Ranveer personally escorted Rajat to the first-aid center on set. Reflecting on the moment, Arora added, "So there are moments where they teach you resilience." This act of camaraderie highlighted the supportive environment among the cast during the rigorous shoot.

Key Learnings from the Dhurandhar Shoot

Beyond the injury, Rajat Arora discussed several valuable lessons he gained from working on the blockbuster project. He emphasized the importance of off-screen bonding among actors. "We made sure that our bonding off-screen reflected on-screen as well. If there is no real connection between actors, it becomes visible on camera," he explained.

Arora also delved into the process of character development, which he found particularly enlightening. "For example, I was guided to think deeply about my character’s backstory—why he exists in the gang, what his purpose is. Even if certain details are not shown on screen, they help shape the performance," he noted.

Another significant takeaway was the creative use of surroundings to enhance a scene. "In one scene, while others were sitting normally, I chose to sit differently and interact with the environment. The cinematographer appreciated that choice and framed the shot accordingly. These small details make a big difference," Arora concluded.
