Prateik Chaudhary Realizes SUV Dream with Mahindra Thar Purchase

For actor Prateik Chaudhary, the timing was impeccable when he finally acquired his first SUV. He had never rushed the decision, patiently waiting until he could comfortably afford it. In a candid conversation, Chaudhary opened up about his new vehicle and the philosophy behind his purchase.

A Bold Choice in White: Standing Out from the Crowd

Chaudhary expressed his long-standing admiration for SUVs, with the Mahindra Thar consistently topping his wishlist. "I've always liked SUVs, and the Mahindra Thar was definitely on my wishlist," he said. He ultimately selected a white model, deviating from the more common black or red options. "I finally bought the white coloured one. It's big, bold, and loaded with the latest features. Usually, people go for black or red, but I wanted something different. The white one really stands out and gives it a very classy and unique look," he explained, adding that the car brings him a sense of tranquility. "When I look at my car it gives me a lot of peace."

Prioritizing Security: Home Before Wheels

Discussing his passion for cars, Chaudhary revealed a grounded perspective. "Honestly, I've never been too fancy about cars or material things. But yes, I've always preferred SUVs over sedans or any other type of cars. There's just something about their presence that I really like. It also gives you a royal feeling when you are on the driver's seat," he shared. However, his priorities were clear: home ownership came first. "We all know in Mumbai having your own home is a big thing. Being a Mumbaikar and coming from a well-settled family, having your own place is a special feeling," he noted, emphasizing his independence. "I've always been very independent. I never relied on my parents financially and have earned everything on my own. For me, security was always the priority, so I focused on buying my own home and investing in properties first. Once that was done, I felt it was the right time to fulfil my personal wish of owning a car I truly love."

Navigating Mumbai Traffic and Future Road Trip Plans

Chaudhary admitted that driving in Mumbai presents significant challenges. "I mostly use my car for shoots, going to the gym, or for some important work. Otherwise, you know how Mumbai traffic is, it can be quite hectic, so I usually avoid driving myself or have my driver handle it," he said. Despite owning the SUV, he has yet to embark on a road trip but is considering plans for the monsoon season. "I have not made any road trip with my car, but I think I will plan something during monsoon. My friends and family have been pushing me to take a short trip to places like Lonavala or nearby destinations, but due to work commitments, I haven't been able to plan anything yet," he revealed.

A Balanced Approach to Material Possessions

As someone who describes himself as emotionally mature, Chaudhary advocates for a measured attitude toward material goods. "Honestly, I try to keep it very normal. I feel that getting too emotionally attached to material things can affect you if something happens to them. I'm a slightly sensitive and emotional person, so I consciously maintain a balanced approach—no extreme excitement or attachment, just a calm and practical mindset," he concluded, underscoring his pragmatic outlook on life and acquisitions.
