Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab' Delayed to 2026 Due to VFX Supervisor's Extortion
Prabhas' 'The Raja Saab' Pushed to Sankranthi 2026

The release of the highly anticipated Prabhas-starrer 'The Raja Saab' has been hit by a significant delay, with the horror-comedy now slated for a Sankranthi 2026 opening. The film, directed by Maruthi, was originally scheduled for an early 2025 release but has faced multiple hurdles during production.

Producer Alleges Extortion by VFX Supervisor

In a recent interview, producer TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory revealed shocking allegations that have derailed the project's timeline. He claimed that a VFX supervisor hired for the film engaged in extortionate behaviour, causing major setbacks.

Vishwa Prasad stated that the supervisor did not complete any work for months while continuing to receive payments. "I can name a few people who really put us in trouble," the producer told NTV. "I've already named one for 'Karthikeya 2', and another for 'The Raja Saab', who was really in extortion mode. He made us delay our movie because he didn't do any of the work until October 2024. We were supposed to come in April 2025."

A Pattern of Disruptive Behaviour

The producer further alleged that this individual has a history of such conduct on major film projects. According to Vishwa Prasad, the supervisor held onto work without progress, took monthly fees for his team, and even threatened to quit if the director raised concerns.

"He didn't work on a single shot and just kept everything with him, taking a monthly fee for his entourage and team," the producer claimed. He also indicated that this supervisor was recently removed from SS Rajamouli's upcoming big-budget film 'SSMB 29', starring Mahesh Babu.

Vishwa Prasad added that the supervisor's focus was diverted to other high-profile projects like 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', which further contributed to the delays plaguing 'The Raja Saab'.
