Palash Muchhal Denies Allegations by Vidnyan Mane, Threatens Legal Action

Singer-composer Palash Muchhal has publicly rejected the serious allegations leveled against him by actor-producer Vidnyan Mane, who describes himself as a childhood friend of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana. The controversy has sparked significant attention in entertainment and sports circles, with Muchhal taking a firm stance against what he calls "baseless and factually incorrect" claims.

Muchhal's Strong Denial and Legal Response

Responding to the accusations, Muchhal issued a detailed statement on social media, vehemently denying all allegations. "In light of the allegations made by Sangli-based Vidnyan Mane on social media, I wish to state that these claims against me are entirely baseless and factually incorrect," Muchhal wrote. He emphasized that the accusations were made with malicious intent to tarnish his reputation and would not go unchallenged.

Muchhal revealed that his lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, is exploring all legal avenues to address the matter. "This matter will be dealt with strictly through the appropriate legal channels," he asserted, indicating a formal legal battle might be imminent. The singer-composer later reiterated his denial through an Instagram story, maintaining that the allegations were false and legally motivated.

Vidnyan Mane's Detailed Allegations

Vidnyan Mane, a 34-year-old based in Sangli, Maharashtra, has filed a formal complaint against Muchhal in Sangli. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Mane made sensational claims, alleging that:

  • Muchhal was caught red-handed with another woman during wedding celebrations in November 2025
  • He was beaten up by Indian female cricketers present at the event
  • The Mandhana-Muchhal relationship collapsed following this incident
  • Mane was introduced to Muchhal by the Mandhana family

Mane further accused the Muchhal family of exerting financial pressure on him regarding a stalled film project. He claimed he was duped of more than Rs 40 lakh and was forced to invest additional money to safeguard his earlier contribution.

"When I met his mother (Amita Muchhal) last month, she said the budget to release the movie has now increased to Rs 1.5 crore. They asked me to invest another Rs 10 lakh or I wouldn't get any money back," Mane alleged. "They started blackmailing me and threatened to throw me out of the film, thus I was forced to file a complaint."

Background of the Mandhana-Muchhal Relationship

The allegations come against the backdrop of the called-off wedding between Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal. The couple was originally scheduled to get married on November 23, 2025, but the wedding was:

  1. Initially postponed due to health-related issues in both families
  2. Officially cancelled in December 2025

Following widespread speculation about the split, both Mandhana and Muchhal issued separate statements confirming their decision. Smriti stated she wanted to "clarify that the wedding is called off" and requested privacy, while Muchhal expressed that this was "the most difficult phase of my life" and he would "deal with it gracefully."

Mane's Additional Claims and Evidence

According to Mane, all communication with the Muchhal family ceased after the wedding was called off. "After the wedding was called off, the family blocked me from everywhere. I found out that other artistes from the movie had not received payment they were due to receive either," he added.

Mane claimed to have substantial evidence supporting his allegations. "I have saved all proofs including my chats and phone conversations that I'm willing to share with the police and the media," he stated, suggesting he is prepared for a legal confrontation.

The case has drawn attention to potential financial disputes in the film industry, with Mane remarking, "I had heard of directors fleecing producers in the film industry but this is complete theft."
