Orry Grilled for 7 Hours by Mumbai Police in Drug Probe, Denies All Charges
Orry questioned 7 hours by Mumbai Police in drug case

Social media personality Orhan Awatramani, widely known as Orry, found himself in the legal spotlight on Wednesday as he appeared before the Mumbai Police's Anti-Narcotics Cell for extensive questioning related to an ongoing drugs investigation. The influencer, recognized for his frequent appearances with Bollywood celebrities, faced a grueling interrogation session that stretched over seven hours.

Marathon Interrogation Session

According to official statements provided to IANS, the social media star underwent questioning for more than seven hours at the police facility. However, investigators reported that Awatramani showed limited cooperation during the prolonged session and reportedly "did not reveal much" information relevant to their probe.

As detailed in India Today reports, the influencer consistently denied any personal involvement with narcotics consumption during his interrogation. He also maintained that he had no knowledge of drug use occurring at the numerous high-profile parties he regularly attends across India and internationally.

Orry's Defense Strategy

During his questioning, Orry presented a specific narrative about his role in the entertainment circuit. He informed officials that his presence at various events is primarily professional - he attends solely to take photographs with celebrities and share these moments on his social media platforms.

The influencer claimed that due to the sheer volume of events he attends, he cannot recall specific details about who was present or what activities transpired at each gathering. This explanation formed a central part of his defense against the allegations being investigated.

Significantly, Orry denied any connection to Alishah Parkar, identified as a key accused in the case. He further asserted that he has no links whatsoever to any drug supply chains or distribution networks.

Potential Recall and Previous Legal Issues

With authorities reportedly dissatisfied with his responses during the initial questioning session, police officials indicated that Orry may be summoned again for additional interrogation in the near future. The investigation continues to develop as police pursue various leads.

This recent legal encounter isn't the first controversy for the social media personality. Orry was among several individuals named in a First Information Report (FIR) lodged on March 15 by Katra police in Jammu and Kashmir. The complaint alleged that he and others consumed alcohol at a hotel in Katra, despite being informed that alcohol and non-vegetarian food were strictly prohibited in the sacred pilgrimage area of Mata Vaishnodevi.

Parallel Investigation Involving Bollywood Connection

In a related development, actor Siddhant Kapoor, brother of prominent actress Shraddha Kapoor, also underwent police questioning for approximately five hours in connection with the same investigation. Authorities noted that Kapoor, like Orry, was "not cooperating" fully with investigators.

An interesting detail emerged during Kapoor's interrogation - he was carrying a new mobile phone. When questioned about this, the actor claimed his previous device had broken and he had purchased the replacement just two days earlier.

The simultaneous questioning of both high-profile individuals indicates the widening scope of the anti-narcotics investigation and suggests police are examining potential connections between social events, celebrity culture, and drug-related activities in Mumbai's entertainment circles.
