Mohanlal to Attend Kerala School Arts Festival Grand Finale

Superstar Mohanlal will serve as the chief guest for the grand finale of the 64th State School Arts Festival in Kerala. The final event takes place in Thrissur on Sunday.

The valedictory ceremony begins at 4 p.m. according to IANS reports. Leader of the Opposition in the Kerala Assembly, V. D. Satheesan, will inaugurate the program.

Festival Nears Emotional Conclusion

Thrissur hosted this year's State School Arts Festival, the biggest cultural event for school students in Kerala. The city buzzed with life for many days, filled with music, dance, drama, and art exhibitions.

Now the festival approaches its emotional end. Only eight competitions remain. These final events will determine the winner of the prestigious Golden Cup.

Mohanlal's Busy Film Schedule

Mohanlal continues his active film career alongside his festival appearance. The superstar reunites with director Tharun Moorthy following their successful collaboration on 'Thudarum'.

Their new film officially commenced with a screenplay pooja at the famous Vaikom Mahadeva Temple. The project carries the working title 'L 366'.

Reports indicate shooting will start on the 23rd in Thodupuzha.

Upcoming Mohanlal Projects

Mohanlal's highly anticipated 'Drishyam 3' progresses steadily toward release. Director Jeethu Joseph helms the film, which confirms a worldwide theatrical release on April 2 this year.

The release timing coincides with the Vishu festival period.

Mohanlal recently appeared in the pan-Indian film 'Vrusshabha', which received poor audience reviews and underperformed commercially.

However, his collaboration with director Sathyan Anthikad on the feel-good movie 'Hridayapoorvam' proved successful, earning positive reviews and achieving superhit status.

Mohanlal's major comeback occurred through Tharun Moorthy's thriller 'Thudarum'. ETimes awarded the film three stars in their review, noting Tharun Moorthy's previous National Award win for 'Saudi Vellakka'. The review suggested the film carried an '80s-'90s feel and featured loud, overwritten scenes where acting lacked nuance, though Mohanlal's raw magnetism excited his fans.
