Actress Meenakshi Chaudhary has finally addressed persistent rumors about her mental health following her role in Vijay's film 'GOAT'. In a recent interview, she firmly denied all claims that she experienced depression or trauma due to the project.
Clear Denial of Depression Claims
Meenakshi spoke directly to Telugu 360, setting the record straight about circulating reports. She stated clearly that she never told anyone about feeling depressed or mentally stressed because of the film. "I never said that I am in trauma, mental stress," she emphasized. "I never went into any depression, any low phase. I don't know who said that and how it spread out. But I never said that."
Personal Strength and Resilience
The actress also discussed her personal journey and the challenges she has already overcome in life. She revealed that she faced much harder times during her childhood, including the loss of her father. "If I can get through that, all of this is nothing, right?" she reflected. "So all this mental stress and depression is nothing. These are projects, these are small films."
Meenakshi explained that she does not dwell on negative thoughts. "We have our own stresses in life, we go through it," she acknowledged. "But I never went through any depression."
Positive Memories from 'GOAT'
'GOAT' was directed by Venkat Prabhu and featured Vijay in a double role, with Sneha and Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female leads. Despite post-film reports suggesting she faced trolling and depression, Meenakshi strongly rejected these narratives.
"I don't associate the film with depression," she declared. "I associate it with some of my best memories." She described her shooting experience as wonderful and enjoyable. "Actually, it was a wonderful experience that I worked with them and I had a great time shooting also. Fun!" Meenakshi added that she would happily collaborate with the same team again if given the opportunity.
Why She Accepted the Role
Meenakshi shared that her primary motivation for joining 'GOAT' was her admiration for Vijay. "The main reason I said yes to the film was because I am a fan of Vijay sir," she explained. "When you get a call to act in his film, you naturally say yes."
She noted that knowing this could be one of his final films made the decision even easier. "I wanted the memories of sharing the screen with him, acting with him, dancing with him, and being on the same stage as him," she expressed.
Clarification About Her Role
The actress also addressed questions about the size of her role in the film. "I did not know my role would be this small," she admitted. "When you are an actor, many things are said, and many promises are not kept. But here, there were no such promises. So I had no expectations."
Frustration with Rumors
Meenakshi concluded by expressing frustration about how quickly false information spreads. Even after her clarifications, she observed that rumors continued to circulate and were often used as clickbait material.
Her statements provide a comprehensive rebuttal to the speculation surrounding her mental state after 'GOAT'. The actress maintains that she remains strong and positive, with fond memories of her work on the film.
