Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal's Wedding Postponed Due to Family Health Crisis

The much-anticipated wedding of Indian cricket star Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal, scheduled for November 23, was unexpectedly postponed due to a serious family health emergency. The ceremony was called off after Smriti's father was hospitalized on the wedding morning, requiring immediate medical attention. Shortly thereafter, the groom, Palash Muchhal, was also admitted to the hospital due to stress-related health issues.

Choreographers Break Silence on False Allegations

Following the wedding postponement, social media became flooded with baseless rumours suggesting that wedding choreographers Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz Khan were somehow responsible for disrupting the relationship. Nandika Dwivedi, who temporarily made her Instagram account private amid the controversy, returned to public view to post a detailed statement refuting these claims.

"I want to address and clarify that the assumptions being made about me, particularly the idea that I played a role in disrupting anyone's relationship, are simply not true," Nandika wrote on her Instagram stories. She described the situation as "extremely painful" and expressed how the false accusations were affecting her mental health and personal life.

The choreographer revealed she had been receiving threats that were visible to her family members, which prompted her to make her account private temporarily. "Please understand, this will not be easy for me to come out of; I can not be falsely accused anymore," she pleaded with her followers and the public.

Second Choreographer Joins in Denial

Gulnaaz Khan, the other choreographer involved in the wedding preparations, also posted a clarification on her Instagram stories. "We are not the person involved in this issue," she stated firmly. "Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them doesn't mean we are connected to their personal matter."

Gulnaaz emphasized that she and Nandika were being unfairly targeted based on mere social connections and photographs with the couple. She appealed for respect and understanding while asking people not to jump to conclusions without evidence.

Official Statement and Current Status

The official statement from Smriti Mandhana's manager had previously clarified that the sole reason for postponing the wedding was the sudden illness of her father. Despite this clear explanation, rumours continued to circulate online, causing distress to all parties involved.

In her emotional statement, Nandika Dwivedi shared her personal journey, mentioning the sacrifices she made to come to Mumbai and build her career. "Please do not take my name further than this; I have nothing to do with any of it. Eventually, the truth will find its way," she concluded.

Both Smriti's father and Palash Muchhal have since been discharged from the hospital, though the wedding remains postponed with no new date announced yet. The incident highlights how quickly misinformation can spread on social media and the real-world consequences it can have on individuals' mental health and professional reputations.
