Mallika Sukumaran Speaks Out on 'Bha.Bha.Ba' Dialogue Controversy
The Malayalam film 'Bha.Bha.Ba' has sparked fresh debate after its OTT release. Directed by Dhananjay Shankar, the movie features Dileep in the lead role. It arrived in theatres with significant hype but failed to impress audiences. Now, a particular dialogue from the film is drawing sharp criticism.
Dialogue Sparks Social Media Storm
In 'Bha.Bha.Ba', actor Dhyan Sreenivasan plays the character Godson Ancharakandi. During one scene, he delivers a line that caught viewers' attention. The dialogue states, "My reaction to this incident will be raised inside. After that, I expect a statement or response from their side. If that does not happen, then I have a few things to tell you."
Social media users quickly noted the similarity between this dialogue and a statement made by actor Prithviraj years ago. Prithviraj reportedly made those comments before an AMMA meeting eight years ago, during the actress assault case. Many viewers allege the film intentionally referenced that real-life incident.
Mallika Sukumaran Breaks Her Silence
Mallika Sukumaran recently addressed the controversy in an interview with The Story. She did not shy away from the topic. When asked if the dialogue placement was intentional, she responded clearly.
"Of course. The aim was to remind people once again," she stated.
She then discussed the film's overall reception. "People have already said that the film itself did not do much good. Everyone is giving their own opinions. Whether the film had quality or not, whether it made money or not, that is their concern," Mallika remarked.
Strong Criticism of Dialogue Usage
Mallika Sukumaran expressed strong disapproval of how the dialogue was handled. She pointed directly at the film's creators.
"A dialogue once said by Prithviraj is now being unnecessarily made to be spoken by Dhyan Sreenivasan. I said that it must have been the producer and the director who made him say it. Dhyan only said what was written," she explained.
She continued with forceful words. "If even one person had some sense, they could have said, 'Sir, there is no need to say this dialogue now.' When everyone is adjusting things based on friendship, what relevance does Prithviraj have there?"
No Personal Impact on Prithviraj
Mallika made it clear that this controversy does not affect Prithviraj personally. She believes the issue lies with those who chose to include the dialogue.
"This is not a problem for Prithviraj at all. Whether Dhyan says it today or even bigger actors say it tomorrow, I believe that the words and actions of everyone who is speaking like this will have to be corrected," she asserted.
She concluded firmly. "I believe that 100 percent. In the end, it will come to a point where they will say, 'What was said was a mistake, it should not have been said.'"

'Bha.Bha.Ba' stars Dileep, Mohanlal, Vineeth Sreenivasan, and Dhyan Sreenivasan in important roles. The film released in theatres with high expectations but received weak audience support. Its recent OTT debut has reignited discussions, particularly around this controversial dialogue.
The entertainment industry continues to watch how this situation develops. Mallika Sukumaran's candid comments have added fuel to an already heated debate.
