Karan Veer Mehra Completes Final Schedule of 'Silaa' Before Vietnam Departure
Bigg Boss 18 champion Karan Veer Mehra is currently busy finishing the last schedule of his upcoming movie, Silaa. The actor prepares to travel to Vietnam on January 19. This date holds profound personal and professional meaning for him.
A Date Filled with Personal and Professional Significance
Karan reflects on the striking coincidence of January 19. He notes that it marks exactly one year since his Bigg Boss 18 victory. It also happens to be his late father's birthday.
"It feels uncanny," Karan says. "January 19 is my father's birthday, and it is also the day I feel I got a new life. After struggling in this industry for twenty years, winning Bigg Boss completely changed my journey's direction. I believe my father blessed me with the trophy as a gift. Touch wood, I haven't looked back since that moment."
Steady Support After the Reality Show Spotlight
While audience favorites often shift with each new season of Bigg Boss, Karan highlights the consistent support he has received. He appreciates the loyalty from fans who connected with him during the show.
"Favourites do change every season," Karan adds. "But the people who connected with me have stayed. That kind of loyalty means a great deal to me. It gives me confidence as I move forward in my career."
Embracing the Antagonist Role in 'Silaa'
In his new film Silaa, Karan steps away from traditional hero roles. He plays Zehraak, the antagonist. When asked if taking on a negative character caused any apprehension, he explains his perspective.
"In fact, I actively seek out and choose roles like these," Karan replies. "For me, it is no longer about whether a character is positive or negative. It is about how honestly the character is portrayed. Negative characters often provide more scope for performance and depth."
Gratitude and Future Aspirations
Karan expresses confidence in his journey so far. He feels secure both as an actor and as a person. He acknowledges the blessings he has received and looks ahead with hope.
"I am secure as an actor and as a person," Karan concludes. "God has given me a lot, and I am truly grateful. I just hope to keep doing good work. My aim is not to disappoint anyone who believes in me."
