Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan has publicly expressed his profound distress and concern following the recent collapse of a Metro slab in Mumbai, describing the incident as both "heartbreaking and traumatic." The actor has called for stringent action by authorities to prevent such tragedies in the future.

On Sunday, Roshan re-shared a video on his Instagram story that highlighted the location of the devastating incident. Alongside the footage, he penned a lengthy and emotional note addressing the catastrophe. "Heartbreaking and traumatic. My condolences to the family of the deceased and prayers for the speedy recovery of those injured," the 52-year-old actor wrote.
He continued, "I commend the swift action taken by the authorities to ensure accountability, but the need for safety checks and prevention of such accidents is a priority, especially with all the development work going on across Mumbai, on the busiest streets."

Roshan emphasized that the safety of construction workers and the general public must be treated as paramount. "Safety of the construction workers and common people is of paramount importance, and I hope strict measures are taken to ensure guidelines and protocol are in place to avoid such incidents in the future," he added in his statement.

The collapse occurred on Saturday when a bridge segment of the under-construction Metro Rail Line 4 gave way in Mumbai's Mulund area. The falling debris struck passing vehicles, resulting in one fatality and injuries to three other individuals.
