Heather Graham Embraces Villainy in Genre-Defying Film 'They Will Kill You'
Hollywood actress Heather Graham returns to cinema with a compelling performance in the newly released film 'They Will Kill You'. This innovative movie masterfully blends horror, action, and dark comedy into a thrilling narrative. Set within the opulent yet ominous Virgil, a luxury residence in New York City, the plot gradually reveals a sinister underworld lurking beneath the surface of high society.
Graham's Enigmatic Role and the Film's Unique Appeal
In an exclusive interview with ETimes, Heather Graham opened up about her decision to join the project. She portrays Sharon, a mysterious and intriguing villain who operates in the shadows of this twisted universe. The film is spearheaded by Zazie Beetz, who plays Asia, a fierce outsider determined to dismantle a hidden cult that has existed for years.
Reflecting on her initial reaction to the script, Graham expressed enthusiasm for its creative vision. "The film is scary, it's funny, there's a lot of action. It's a very creative, cool world," she stated. She highlighted director Kirill Sokolov's distinctive storytelling approach, noting, "He has a very unique voice, this world that he's created. I really didn't know what was going to happen next. He's telling a super interesting story, and it's very fun while also being disturbing."
Graham emphasized that the comedic elements became one of her favorite aspects of the production. The tension in 'They Will Kill You' is built not only through action sequences but also through a pervasive eerie atmosphere. "There’s something about it that's very fancy, but there's an eeriness to it and a creepiness to it, and things are not as they seem," she explained, teasing the darker forces at play within the Virgil building.
Physical Demands and On-Screen Dynamics
Describing her character Sharon, Graham revealed, "a really interesting, cool villain that has a very fun side," and hinted at her dynamic with Kevin, played by Tom Felton. This role marks one of the most physically challenging endeavors in her career to date.
"In my career, I've done some fights and some stunts, but nothing compared to this movie," Graham admitted. She pointed to the "long fight scenes that are really intense and really dramatic," underscoring the rigorous action sequences that demanded peak performance.
Praise for Co-Star Zazie Beetz
Heather Graham had glowing words for her co-star Zazie Beetz, lauding her as "an amazing actress" with a captivating screen presence. "Zazie's an amazing actress. She's very beautiful and charismatic. I think she has a wildness to her. That was one of the things that Kirill said was why he wanted to cast her. And she's fun, and a cool heroine. And a total badass in this film," Graham remarked, highlighting Beetz's role as a formidable protagonist.
'They Will Kill You' premieres in cinemas across India today, March 27, 2026, offering audiences a unique cinematic experience that defies traditional genre boundaries.
