Hansika Motwani and Sohael Khaturiya Officially Divorced by Mumbai Court

Actress Hansika Motwani and her businessman husband, Sohael Khaturiya, have officially ended their marriage, with the Bandra family court in Mumbai granting them a divorce. The couple, who tied the knot in December 2022, had been the subject of persistent divorce rumors since last year, though Motwani had previously maintained silence on the matter.

Mutual Consent Divorce with No Financial Claims

The divorce was finalized through a mutual consent petition filed by the couple. Notably, Motwani reportedly chose not to seek any streedhan or alimony as part of the settlement, indicating an amicable separation. During the legal proceedings, Motwani was represented by advocate Adnan Shaikh, who provided insights into the couple's decision.

According to Shaikh, the pair stayed together only briefly after their wedding before realizing that fundamental differences were profoundly affecting their relationship. Over time, disparities in their temperaments, viewpoints, and lifestyles led to repeated disagreements and conflicts.

Irreconcilable Differences and Failed Reconciliation Efforts

The petition submitted to the court detailed that even minor matters often escalated into heated arguments, making it increasingly difficult for the couple to continue sharing a home. This constant friction ultimately led them to conclude that separation would be the best course of action for both parties.

The legal documents also noted that family members and close friends attempted several times to mend the relationship, encouraging the couple to work through their differences. However, despite these well-intentioned efforts, reconciliation proved impossible, and the disputes persisted.

Amicable Separation and Legal Finalization

After their relationship became strained, Motwani and Khaturiya held discussions and mutually decided to proceed with a divorce. They subsequently submitted affidavits confirming that neither side would make any financial or legal claims against the other, solidifying their commitment to an amicable split.

The couple has been living separately since July 2, 2024, and did not have any children during their marriage. This official court ruling brings closure to a union that lasted less than two years, marking the end of a high-profile relationship in the entertainment industry.
