Background on Rajpal Yadav's Legal Situation

Rajpal Yadav, renowned for his comedic roles in films such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Hungama (2003), and Dhol (2007), found himself in legal trouble after failing to comply with a court-ordered surrender deadline. The case originates from 2010 and involves repeated violations of undertakings regarding payment issues. Although Yadav offered to deposit ₹25 lakh immediately and proposed a repayment schedule for the remaining dues, the court declined relief and directed him to surrender by February 4, 2026. Following this, his counsel confirmed that the actor surrendered at Tihar Jail on February 5, with the court noting he could file appropriate applications post-surrender.
