Govinda Breaks Silence on Wife's Affair Allegations, Thanks Newcomer Komal

Bollywood veteran Govinda has publicly addressed the serious cheating allegations made by his wife, Sunita Ahuja, in a detailed interview. The actor expressed gratitude towards newcomer actress Komal, whom Sunita named in the claims, for her silence on the matter, stating it had "saved" him.

Govinda's Response to the Allegations

In a conversation with ANI, Govinda reacted to Sunita Ahuja's accusations of an extra-marital affair with Komal. He emphasized his long-standing professional conduct, noting he has worked with top actresses, including four Miss Universe winners, without any misconduct.

He acknowledged that such allegations might deter newcomers from collaborating with him, prompting an apology to aspiring artists. "I apologise. I want to work with newcomers. They might get scared to work with me after this and refuse," he said.

Thanks to Komal for Her Silence

Govinda specifically thanked Komal for not speaking out amid the controversy. "I thank her. I am saved because she is not saying a word against anyone. She is quiet, otherwise youngsters don't shy away from hurling abuses," he explained.

He praised Komal's character, adding, "She is not the kind of person who wants to get fame and attention using this means." This highlights his appreciation for her discretion during a turbulent time.

Addressing Family and Career Concerns

Beyond the affair claims, Govinda responded to Sunita's allegation that he did not assist their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, in building connections in the film industry. He revealed personal struggles, stating that his family perceived him as unsuccessful after he quit politics.

"When I quit politics, I thought competition and jealousy might trouble my family, especially my kids. This is why I left politics for their sake," Govinda shared. He detailed efforts to support Yashvardhan, including asking producer Sajid Nadiadwala for help.

Govinda expressed confidence in his son's future, saying, "Yash will be a better actor than me. He is technically more sound than me." He also reflected on his own career, mentioning collaborations with numerous directors and producers.

Reflections on Personal and Professional Life

Govinda touched on the emotional impact of the allegations, describing them as coming from his "childhood love." He used a metaphor to express his feelings: "After a bull is used all his life, he is sent to slaughterhouse."

When asked about Sunita's debut with Ektaa Kapoor's production house, Govinda remarked, "This is good, if she sits at home, she will give more interviews." This comment underscores the ongoing tensions in their relationship.

The actor's statements reveal a complex mix of gratitude, defense, and concern for his reputation in Bollywood, as he navigates both personal accusations and professional challenges.
